Default FAILED SMOG!! DAMNIT!!

well, the dreaded day to go to the smog station has came today.. my 3 month extension expired today.. booooo!! .. well, as i figured i would.. i failed smog miserably ..
BTW, its a JDM b16 in an EG.. and yes, its BAR'd

any suggestions of what it could be..
i'm guessing the cat has to be replaced, along with O2 sensor again.. just replaced both last year.. not sure why it'd be dead already

here were my readings
15mph test:
HC (PPM)
Max = 92 meas.= 212

CO(%)
Max = 0.55 meas.= 1.19

NO(PPM)
Max = 716 meas.= 1516

25mph test:
HC (PPM)
Max = 57 meas.= 94

CO(%)
Max = 0.54 meas.= 0.06 only one passed

NO(PPM)
Max = 764 meas.= 2036

gonna send in the form for financial assistance for smog repair.. hopefully they accept it.. and hopefully i can get another 3 month extension while i wait and get this repaired..

Well, From what I see you are correct on your assumptions.

What happens is first your o2 sensor kicked the bucket and when this happens the cat doesn't get enough o2 and burns itself up.

It did happen to me that is why I know this. My o2 got stuck at .5v so it did not throw a cel. If I didn't catch it in time my cat would of been gone.

I was able to get it to pass with just an o2 sensor.

Here is my test results with a bad O2
HC 151 CO .94 Nox 2224 at 15 pretty close to yours of course it depends where it got stuck at.

With a failed smogtest you can ask for a extension. If they don't give it to you tell them that you have signed up for the CAP program also. It might help.
