I just started getting into modifing my Del Sol, It's pretty much bone stock, with a few minor things I've done here and there, mostly interior.


90% of my Income is disposable, so I have good steady cash flow to put into my car.


I started thinking and making a nice 0To Do- list, but then it hit me, why put all this money into something, only to have all anything external I put on be owned by salt, rain, snow, ice, etc.


So what do you guys think?


Would it be best to just hold off till next spring to do anything drastic?
IE: Suspension / wheels / break swap / engine swap / exhaust / Frame work / exterior cosmetics


Maybe just start stock piling up on parts and things and just do it all at once next spring?


And this is my daily driver, also happens to be my only car. So it will be used often.

 

same situation with me. But I think Im going to hold of until next spring/summer and just buy the parts now

 

You might try getting a super-cheap beater to drive in the winter months while you do the mods to your car. That can occupy some time, give you something to do when it's cold out.

Or yeah just make a good plan for each system you intend to modify (suspension, engine, etc...) and start gathering parts for a total teardown in springtime. Then you'll have a whole new animal when it comes back together.
