Default Holiday weekend.......Where to ride in SoCal??

To all the locals around SoCal;

What are some good routes for some fun turns. Please name of all routes you know about or tell me your favs......

I know about Ortega, Azusa, and Palimar oh and Big bear. Which one is the 'best' out of those?

I just want to go ride this weekend and some ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bobby

Palomar is considered one of the best riding routes in the country.

Here's a link to a lot of best riding areas in California:

a word from the wise... stay AWAY from the local "Typical" riding spots, FAR AWAY.
Any of those places will put a smile on your face... did you find anyone to ride with as yet? there are tricks to be learned for the modern so cal rider

Wherever you go riding, ride as safely as possible. It's a holiday weekend, so watch out for more cars on the road and more cops patrolling.

I still think ACH is the best.

Well I'm thinking tommorrow to head out about 7am or so and start in Laguna Niguel head down and go through ortega to get to the 15 and then from there take the 15 to get to Palimar.

Sound like a decent ride??

I might hit the early shift (6:30 ish) or the mid-day shift (11:00). Gotta test ride the bike for trackday on Monday.

well, i hit up Palomar.

Definitely full of morons. One guy even said,

'Yeah this my backyard. I live right down the way and come here on the weekends to race.'

What a *******.

Besides that it was more fun than i could have imagined. I can't wait for my first track day, i cant even imagine that that would be like.

w/ the heat, the fuzz, and no doubt a lot of squids, i stayed away from the canyons this weekend.

I did ride my bike to my gf's house, and it was like riding in a goddamned convection oven. I thought i was going to be medium well by the time i got to her house, 15 minutes away. this was wearing mesh jacket and jeans. i can't imagine what it would have been like to be caught on the 210E in holiday traffic in my 1pc, coming home from the crest...
