Default finally building motor

well, my car has been sitting in my garage for the past 3 months collecting dust with blown pistons. So now i've decided to finally fix the problem.....

im not K-swapping...

im just going to build the internals.

i had to tow my car to my friends shop and do the motor build there...

heres some pics so far...

and now the body sits while the engine is having its heart fixed

ill keep posted on the details...

so far i've managed to get:

Wiseco pistons (9.0:1 compression 76 mm)
Crower Rods
Clutch Masters Stage 3 clutch and flywheel
Cometic Headgasket
ARP Head Studs

I already had stage two port and polish started yesterday

i still need some 500+CC injectors unless the RSX-S injectors i got on will hold good enough.

Hope ya'll enjoy

That front lip looks like a running board for a pickup.

Best of luck with the engine build, I hope all goes well.

get srt-4 577cc injectors i beleive all you need to do is rewire them and longer mounting bolts... like $100 on ebay or srt-4-*** site.

Trusting a built motor to e-manage.... yeesh.
If you've got the $2000+ to build the bottom end right, scrape up another 1100 for a Hondata box. Now that you're out of overbores.... try not to crack the sleeves if you crank the boost up.

e-manage is terrible with tuning..

It cant really tune partial throttle, it's been known to casue random lean spots.

I'll be waiting for your next thread "i blowed it up" while using emanage.

I would NEVER EVER run my engine on a piggyback whether it be stock/boosted or built/boosted

btw dont use rsx-s njectors use srt-4 they wont max out with 10psi.

Weren't you the one running like 13-16psi on stick engine too and said your engine was doing fine?

yep...

but you were right bout the lean spots..

when i had the block taken apart, they told me i blew my piston due to a lean condition...

and the car was tuned, so im guessing it was the emanage...

would an emanage ultimate do?

AEM EMS, Hondata Kpro, HKS F-con V-Pro are all very good systems.

It all depends on what your tuner is most comfortable with.

If he's good at all the programs then just ask what he prefers to tune with.

ok. it looks like you have slicks all the way around on the pic of it on the roll back. i was just checking.

slicks depend on your preference. but i'd say MT 24.5's. you can go down to a 22 if you want but i'd say 24.5 should work fine.
