i need to install a vacuum gauge to my 05 civic ex witch hose do i use

You could use the vacuum line that leads from your intake manifold to your brake booster, I suppose. Are you running boost?

to add... tap the master vac line between the manifold and the check valve. You'll feel the check valve in the line, its roughly in the same area that the hose is clipped to the firewall.
