No. You don't. God. I hate noobs who don't know.
If you have a male halfshaft, 94+ teg axles non abs, remove the dust cap from the knuckles where the bearing is.
If you have a female halfshaft, 90-93 Teg axles non abs, remove the dust cap from the knuckles where the bearing is.
Get autozone axles. They come with lifetime warranty so you can snap them and replace them forever.

First, i am not a noobs cause i swap engines and tranny's all the time. And how can you say i don't know? He never stated which tranny he had so how can you rule out an SIR halfshaft if you know it all???? He said the axles didn't fit so he may have another halfshaft. You can't assume he has a 90-93 halfshaft know it all.
Make sure you didn't mix up pass and driver axle. Full splined inner cv always goes on left side into halfshaft.
hey crxsteve, check this out. It should clear everything up for you

If he has a b16a like he stated with a cable trans why would he have a male halfshaft? JDM 92 up SiRs, 99-00 Si and Type R have this halfshaft which came with hydro tranny's!! Do you think i am still a noob who don't know,LOL

Easy buddy. Take comments like that, and toss'em out.
Some of us know that you know your ****.
I must not, never knew there were male intermediate shafts for the b-series.

Yeah your right... People ask for help and then others come and shoot it down like they are the only ones who ever worked on a car before.
94 and up Integra GSR have the male end on the left side

It's actually all B series hydro trans cars that ran the half shaft. The length of the driveshafts are the same on both sides you just have to buy for the kind of axles you have. I ran both styles before. It works awesome and the el cheapo 79.99$ driveshaft from autozone took my slick launch like a champ. Both on a B16 and B18. Best part they have a lifetime warranty, no questions asked. Why would you waist an extra 200$ or more on different axles.
I'm trying to let him know the exact information he needs, along with a wise

I agree, I ran autozone axles on my rex before the swap for more than 2 years with no problem.

get the 89 teg axle, they are shorter and work better. i broke 2 1990 axles on my rex. a friend told me about the 89 and i have been using them for over a year now.

You can't use 86-89 axles if you have a 90-93 teg halfshaft.
89 teg axles are shorter than 90-93 teg axles.
90-93 teg halfshaft is shorter than an SIR halfshaft
So putting a shorter axle with a shorter halfshaft makes the whole combo too short to work!
If your running an SIR halfshaft you do want to use the 86-89 teg axle BUT only the outer cv and shaft. You want to use the 90-93 inner cv joint because the 86-89 inner cv are shallow and will break easily. Yes the 86-89 axle will work but will not last. Hence the 86-89 teg didn't have a b16 in it!
Hope this helps

it's been tried and true...I have a friend who used the 89 inner joint combo and it's held up for 5 years and many track events..he's running about 180whp on a b16 in a crx..
using 90-93 ls axles will work but it is not the correct length

Did you try swapping axels from side to side?
The half shaft axel has splines all the way down to cv joint as to where the right side only has slines halfway.
Its just a suggetion who knows?

This is not true if you are useing the 90-93 half shaft, mine work fine.

its accordingly if your on a DA HS use da axles if your on a SIR HS use 1st gen integra axles or just driver side. if there still a lil long take off the plastic ring on the axle near axle seal ring a little extra room
