Default Magnaflow resonator

Ok, many have said, add a resonator to quiet your exhaust. Get the biggest one you can. I get that.

My question is, does aftermarket resonator, like magnaflow, actually have less restriction compare to stock OEM? Is the OEM resonator straight through?

you gotta remeber that OEM is for emissions and comfy driving.......magnaflow is a great resonator..I havwe an 18 inch one on my car......aftermarket stuff leans towards performance

What would you think if only the resonator was replaced on a stock system? Would it just give it a slight more agressive sound?

Many people want a quiet exhaust, and less attention getting stock look.

So I'm just wondering, why not just change the resonator instead of the muffler? Just a theory.

Note: I know it will do nothing for performance.
