89 Integra, worth it?
Basically I'm looking for a beater car, and a friend of mine has had an 89 integra 4door RS with 192k miles sitting in his backyard for over a year (bought it from an auction). We started it up the other day (needed to be jumped of course) and it was quiet as could be, and ran great. Has a electrical short in the turn signals, but other than that its pretty decent. He wants $800....worth it?
I looked up Kbb and the range there is something like $725-$1300
NADA has it around $1,000-$1,800.
I'm going to resell it after I get my current car going, so would it be a good idea?

Not worth that much unless it was in perfect condition. It's been sitting for how long?
Do not go buy it to "turn a profit". You will not sell this for more than $1,000 in perfect condition

Well it's not really a turn to profit thing, more of a get what I paid for it. I'm basically carless right now since my current teg is hydrolocked. I'm just not trying to pay $800 and sell for $400.
Well how much do you think it will cost to get up and running?
If it's anywhere more than $200, I would not buy it. You will not get more than $1,000 out of that car in perfect condition, and from what you say it's far from it.
IMO: look for another car.....in the 90's
