A lot of pple use those skunk2 or DC Sports ones that look like vibrators..
Here:

Those are supposedly good but supposedly get hot/cold with temperature variants. Eh, it's metal...it's kinda expected, but whatever.
A lot of other people like the GSR shift **** - I haven't had a chance to try this out though.
Get whatever you like - a shift **** is there for how you like the feel, 20 difference people are gonna have 20 different responses.
Go search, because this has been covered 20 gazillion times - and see what you can dig up - you can buy a nice skunk2 weighted **** for like 42 bux or some **** like that.

GReddy counterweighted shiftknob, very easy shifting even with a shortthrow, it does tend to get a little warm but only when driving for a very long time mine gets that way cus the shifter sits so close to the exhaust. imo i really like that **** definatly worth the 40bux
I haven't had a problem with heat yet with my skunk2 ****. I Just made a cloth cover out of a red sock to cover my shifter while I'm not in the car. That way it doesn't heat up nearly as bad, and it should keep it warm this winter.
