Default type-r/gsr

will a type-r IM work on a 01 gsr engine? some1 says it is better for the turbo application but i dunno what to think and yes i tried to do a search and found nothing, please and thanks for the help!

no it will not work. If you're looking for a good manifold for a turbo application, i would suggest the Edelbrock or HP Racing intake manifold...i run the HP on my turbo GSR

to run the type r manifold on a gsr you need to get a b16 head, as the heads are the same casting and bolt pattern as the type r.

You can get a GSR Skunk 2 intake manifold for the gsr, which has the same idea of the intake manifold from the b16, and with better volumetric efficiency, with no secondaries.

If your staying all motor, stick with the gsr head, if your going boost, put on the b16 head and manifold.

better off buy the skunk2 manifold either way. more air equals more POWA!!
