From my experance 3" Is alot different then a 4"

4" is like having an open down pipe in the rear of your car compared to a full 3"

Why even run a muffler if its track only? 3" and dump it under the car.

if you didnt wanna spend the 200+ on a burns muffler, you can get the vibrant one for 60. same thing, but cheaper, and it dosnt say "burns" on it

They do have 3.5" piping ya know If it's a track only car (as you say) then I would just dump a 3" under the car. 600HP is easy on a 3", it's 700+ range where you could really see a benefit.

We use to make 640WHP with a full 3.00 Mandrel bent pipes with a 8"long 3.00 Muffler when I use to drive the car on the streets.

i just did a 3" dp into a 4" mandrel exhaust and put a magnaflow race muffler on it, oh and the system runs through the OEM exhaust route. It sounds wicked.
