Well guys, the insurance co.(St. Farm)finally got back to me with the amount on my car. For those of you that don't know, my car was stolen and found completely stripped. I had a 01 with ~20k on it. They're giving me 24k total, that's including PA 6% tax, title fee, and the aftermarket stuff I put on the car(stereo, exhaust..etc). Is that reasonable??????

Yeah, not bad. you could get more if you hold out. I got 24K from my insurance company for a car with ~12k on my 00 model (this was about a year ago). However, that was without tax, etc, in the end i was at 26 or 27

 

That doesn't sound bad at all. How long did it take to settle?

Heh, 24k for riding around in a car and putting 20k miles on it... Good deal. I am sorry to hear of your loss though.

 

thats really good....I was happy with 23,500 for a my 01 with 11,000

 

Not bad at all...

 

Go through homeowners insurance for all the stereo stuff, and anything that you had in the car. I got an extra 2g's that way.

 

Can you buy back the shell?
