Default Redline at 6700?

if anyone has had this happened before let me know what's wrong. pretty much my car stops pulling at 6700 rpm. that's in all gears ive tested except 4th and 5th. when i hit 6.7 the car feels like it topped out and stopps pulling, but the meter jumps up cuz im rev'ing the car, but the car feels like it stops pulling and that there's no more power to pull out after 6.7. any suggestions / opinions for me to check it up would be helpful.

TIA.

so does it feel like yur powerband stops but the revs keep going up? or does it feel like yur hitting a rev-limiter where the car stops accelerating?

it pops vtech, but it doesn't hit the redline at 8k like it's suppose to. it stops at 6.7k and bounces like if 6.7k is the redline.

There could be something with your vtec pressure valve, maybe your car needs an oil change.

could possibly be in limp mode

and even though you only have 1300 miles on this oil change, it's still good to check and see if you haven't burned any.

Does the car accelerate like normal until that point?
