1993 Honda Accord VTEC wiring??
I have a 1993 Honda Accord LX Sedan and my original F22A1 motor was starting to break down, where between the Transmission and the Exhaust Manifold is where the engine oil started to leak. So my dad and me found this warehouse that sells engines and we decided to get a 93 Honda Prelude H22A1 motor, but the problem is is that I don't know what the guy meant by "cut the vtec wires and connect them to the computer" what does that mean? Can someone take pictures or draw out a picture on what wires I have to cut and where I need to plug them in?? Remember I have a 1993 Honda Accord LX Sedan, Automatic Transmission, trying to put a H22A1 DOHC VTEC motor into a NON VTEC car. Hope you guys have pictures of how to do it STEP BY STEP Thanks!!
yes you need to buy a vtec computer, so basically one from the prelude with the h22. look for a writeup that wil tell you which pinout to connect to the vtec solenoid. it looks like a small film canister and is right next to the distributor this is what makes vtec work. without either of these NO VTEC but the engine wil run
where did you get the engine from??
where did you get the engine from??
answer; if you have an h22 ecu then dont worry make sure you pin the wiring and thats it. theres a thread on this look for h22a swaps and or vtec wiring. and they have pictures there too. and if you got this its only 2 wires you will mess with easy thing.
