Default Axles didn't snap into place.

I just got done installing my axles and they didn't snap into place like many people have been witnessing. They are in far enough so that I can bolt the hub back in, but I am quite worried that something is going to go wrong while driving since I didn't hear anything click into place. My question is, if the hub is in place, doesn't it mean that the axle is in far enough?

Are you talking about snapping into place by the inner joint? Can you pull the inner joint back out easily by hand? If not, then you should be fine. If so, then the c-clip is probably missing off of the axle (passenger side) or off of the half shaft (driver side).

Can't remove them, I made sure by hitting the ends with a sludgehammer. Well, I guess I got alittle carried away with the sludgehammer because I can hear some type of vibrating coming from the passanger's side. DAMN IT! I have to pull these off and take them back to get another set.

You used a sledge on the outer end of the axle to get the inner joint into place? not a good idea.

I always get the splines on the inner joint started, and then I push on the axle shaft until the inner joint tripod bottoms out inside the joint cup. Then I pull it back out and push again, not too hard, but repeatedly until the axle seats itself and locks into place.

haha that sounded kinda gross but that's the best way I could describe it.

+1 you should just be able to slide them in by hand it takes a little wiggling and finesse but that is it. i just replaced my driverside yesterday and went like butta!!
