Do you guys know of any resources on the net that would list all the different models of preludes ever made? I want to prove there is no such animal as a AWD prelude, and then collect my lunch! hehe....

I think hondaprelude.com has a list on the resources page that lists all teh USDM models and a few of the JDM models as well.

No. There was never an AWD Prelude version in North America, Japan, or anywhere else.

Would have been nice if they had made one.

It would have been nice if they had made a USDM Twin Turbo, All Wheel Drive, Rear mounted VTEC H23'ed, 400HP Prelude with variable pneumatic suspension, and LSD called the S-VTEC... but they didn't.

I'd have been happy if they were just rwd...
Aside from the S2000, I've heard somewhere (don't know how much truth there is to it) that Prelude Type SHs were originally designed for RWD but Honda knew that it would cost way too much money to redesign a new transmission for it (as if Preludes weren't expensive enough). A little OT but Del Sol's were originally going to be the "Poor Man's" Porsche having a rear engine design but scrapped the idea--as you can see, most of the weight goes to reinforcement in the back, easy for a firewall...and the stock race style seats and targa top hint to their original plans. And that's Honda History 101 if what I heard is true, I could be wrong...
