Default 1991 Civic Si ----> 96-97 type r brake conversion

i have a 91 si. looking to do a 96-97 type r 4 lug front and rear disc brake conversion. if i order the complete conversion from hmotorsonline.com i still need different knuckles to have them bolt up correctly. so does anyone know what knuckle to use. DA knuckles? where can i get just the knuckles? any advice on a better brake set-up for an EF is appreciated.

You need 4door EF, EX knuckles. There are a few folks that have DA knuckles, many are at odds over if there is any negative effects on roll center. What I've found that everyone does seem to agree on is that the camber curve is a little more agressive, not a siginificant change. Also if you are at stock height I believe you'll have + camber.

so the hmotors 96-97 4X114 setup will bolt up with 4door ex knuckles... and everything will ride fine even with a drop?

what do you think of these...

Seems kinda high if you ask me, but idk what the arms are worth.
Ex Knuckles can usually be had for about 100 each or less. DA knuckles are about half that. DA knuckles need 1.5 or more drop to even get close on desirable camber settings......I think.

I've searched the first link you sent and didn't see the brake parts you'd mentioned....

The EX knuckles will net you about -2.25 on the camber with ~2" of drop.
To me that seems a little agressive for a street car and it WILL wear the insides of your tires, you will also loose just a touch of braking with that much camber as the tire doesn't contact the pavement as well as say -1.5 degrees.

My personal setup, whenever I stop being lazy and make it happen will be EX knuckles, ITR calipers(with proper machining) and 11" rotors. If i decide I want less camber then I'll use one of the various devices to correct that at that time.
