Default your opinion on what might be wrong here...

Now before anyone says anything about the bars brand.. where i got it.. anything like that.. I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR OPINION ON THAT MATTER IS! .. now with that said.. I picked up this strut bar on ebay... its made by reworks?? dunno.. a bar is a bar to me.. It came with this strut bar and an H brace for $36.. the brackets seem to fit just fine but the bar appears to be too long.. Here are some pics of it and the h brace(for ***** and giggles).. any ideas on why it does not fit.. im guessing it was packaged with the right brackets but wrong bar.. or is it something im doing wrong.. although i cant see how that would be the case... its a strut bar..

i doubt this..but see if the braces have any more movement to try and make up that little bit..if not..call the people who make them and see if its even possible to get the right one sent out...but i mean..36 bucks..you kind of get what you pay for dude.

dont cheap out on parts

Well, the fact is, inexpensive products such as this one often exhibit poor fitment or overall quality, which you seem to be experiencing. Therefore, mentioning the brand is a valid point.

However, you may be able to get things lined up if you jack up the front of the car before installing, and loosen the mounting bolts on the towers a bit.

i do understand that the brand can be an issue.. i dont need to ask other people that.. i just wanted to know if anyone else has had an issue like this with ANY bar really.. i tried jacking the car up too.. but no dice.. im guessing its either shitty craftsmanship.. or its the wrong bar packaged with the right brackets... would figure.. the one part i skimp on.. just cant see paying more than $80 for a freakin tower bar..

Put the brackets on the bar but don't tighten them down, then try to make it all fit and if it does fit then you can tighten everything down.

Then you probably got a defective bar.

i know it sucks to pay more than 80 bucks for a strut tower bar..but unless you want them to fit right and not bend/break under load or pressure..you really should spend the money since they are meant to tighten up the chassis better handling...if that were to break while in a hard turn youd hate life....400 bucks from PasswordJDM you get a whole set of good quality bars dude...and read the info on them too..they are worth it..

that was my guess.... can always hope though... And by the way.. anyone contemplating picking up one of those h braces.. grab one.. even with all the suspension work i had done.. KYB AGX, HR springs, Skunk 2 a arms, energy master kit. Suspension techniques sway bars.. there was for sure a noticeable difference after i installed it..
