Hey guys, i'm in kind of a bind here.

So i have a 1990 crx and i'm putting a B18C engine into it.
Now I know i'm suppose to be using the 1990 engine harness but unfortunately I don't have it. Instead I have a 88 engine harness. Which I thought will probably work still.

I think i've got most of the wiring down except one thing. There's this connector by the injector resistor box. The one comming out of the body of the car is 8 pins and the one from the engine harness is 6 pins. I have no clue whatsoever as to what to do. All i know is that the connector is the engine sub-harness. I'm currently trying to trace what each wire does with my 90 manual but since i don't have an 88 manual to compare i'm kind of stuck. Can anyone provide any insight on this? It would be much appreciated.
