Default eg6 towing capacity LOL ?

Im thinkin about towing a 2700lb 06 civic si with a 2300lb h22 eg civic 600 miles

found a bolt on hitch for max 2000lb~~just lookin

eg is good for 1000lb

u think its more the engine or the chassis towing capacity? :D~~

THOUGHTS? :D~~

That will be a dangerous tow. The lightness of the Eg could not properly anchor a trailer with that much weight, especially if there is gusts of wind or you hit bumps. Why would you try this when a U-haul is so cheap.

it's in the manual.

I think regular civics can tow ~300 lbs.

With the h22, bump it up to 500.

You'll be fine, just don't do it constantly.

I hope you get stopped or into an accident or something. Because that's what I wanna see what you say to the cop about - there's absolutely no excuse trying to haul a 3000lb Si with your 2400lb Eg.

Not only is a major safety hazard to you (which I'm not too concerned about) but it's a major hazard to other people driving on the road.

Example: The hitch breaks off.

Result: The mother ****** in back of you has a real dilemma on their hands, probably resulting in somebody dying.
