Default Taking off ek side skirts?

Whats envolved in taking of EK sideskirts. Are there screw that hold it along the bottom of the rocker panels, or clips?

From what I remember it's those weird screw/clip things much like the ones you find on the fender liners. Just screw them out and then pop them out.

They are screws. 6 of them.

(maybe 7)

8 if you include the ones on the front/back.

But yes, they are a PITA and are often stripped to hell.

Slide it forward VERY gently, try not to damage the clips that also hold it on.

Okay, to make this clear...

To remove:

Remove the screws from the front of the sideskirt.

Remove the three (four?) clips along the bottom. These are black plastic two-piece clips. The center has a Phillips tip head which sits flush into the outer part of the clip. It's very likely that your clips will strip inside or tear up on the outside. Then prepare to rip the clips out. I've found needle nose pliers work better, even better than my clip remover (shown above).

Honda can sell you replacement clips, but, of course, they're not cheap.

After you remove the screws and the clips, shove the sideskirt forward and it will pop off and fall onto the ground.

To reinstall:

Remove white clips from mount points on car by twisting them out. Fit them back in place on the sideskirt.

Hold the sideskirt back up to the mount points and shove it onto the mount locations. You might have to hit along the side to make sure it all clips in place.

Now replace the clips and the screws and you're done.
