cant' get the prelude started! help!
hey guys, so i need some help- I put a new throttle body gasket in my prelude the other day to fix the idle, started it up, and it ran perfectly, no hesitation starting or anything. Before this it had been sitting for about a month. So the next day I tried starting it, and it wouldn't start. it would crank over, but seems like it wasn't getting fuel. it started once for about 5 seconds, i had the gas down and it got up to 5k rpm, then i heard some crazy detonation (i think?) and then it died. Haven't been able to get it started since. Any ideas?
I'm thinkin blockage in the fuel system, cause that would explain the detonation too, since it would have run really lean if it was all of a sudden deprived of fuel. but if it is a blockage, what would you recommend for finding the blockage and correcting it?

have you gone back and tried to start it in the past hour or so after letting it sit for a while?
check for spark, that is the easiest thing, just pull a plug, ground it, and have someone crank it over.
it could definitely be blockage in the fuel system.
