Default EK JDM Sidemarker Stay On/Off?

Just wondering..are sidemarkers on REAL JDM EK's always lit up from factory, or do they stay off and only light up when you use the blinker? Thanks...

Oem sidemarkers only turn on with the turn signal.

You can wire them to be on during normal driving.

no that's how they are supposed to be. they are more as a blinker, if you think about it.

Yeah, the JDM way is to stay off, and blink for the signals, but I said "screw it, I'm keeping them lit." I put mine on for added visibility from blind retards in Ford Exploders.

For real, I respect our inevitable spot-welded vulnerability on the road in comparison to most other cars, and therefor am doing all I can to make my car clean, but visible as possible.

They're supposed to work with the blinkers.

It's illegal to have them on full time with your headlights anyways.

I figure I'll endure the $10 ticket for potential security in my well being.

I think I'm missing the potential security and well being involved in having side markers that are on 100% of the time....

How do Hondas get fucked over? That's a stupid comment. The reason you don't hear about camaros and mustangs getting pulled over and get ref tickets is because this ISN'T CAMARO OR MUSTANG FORUM. Everybody thinks their type of car gets targeted .

Why do stuff to attract MORE attention?

^^

Truth it, car enthusiasts as a whole get targeted. Fact of life.

i agree, it doesn't make a difference whether you are into domestics, imports, or classics.

because, some find it a hobby? maybe some people can't leave things alone. and there are some that just do it because everyone else is. but what ever is done, it will always draw attention, positive and negative.

why do we do home improvements? why do we get promoted? to have what we feel is something better.

It makes me feel safer and more visible from the side all the time at night, and not just when I'm signaling for a lane change.

This is a good point. Many people are targeted only for the sake of cops' quotas, regardless of their type of car, but I feel the Honda population gets targeted much more in Cali because they are an easy smog violation ticket. Just what I think, but I understand your point.

Lol @ comparing sidemarkers to underglow kits. Maybe someday they will be looked upon as such.
