Swapping a B18A1 into my CRX, got questions need answers :)
Hey guys. Got the motor in, its sitting on the mounts and now the questions.
1.) I bought axles from a 90 Integra from autozone. When I tighten the passenger side axle nut its very hard to spin it.. when I untighten it it spins easily.
I took the dust protectors off so its not them. What do you guys think?
2.) Does anyone have a vacuum diagram? I tried to search everywhere, I found only one and its not helping me completely.
3.) How do you get the headers to clear the fron support beam? The black one where the tranny mounts in the front.
4.) Shift linkage. I guess I have to cut it and shorten it.. But there is a hole on the transmission that fits the linkage perfectly.. Should I cut it or just bolt it on over there?
I will update as soon as I remember other things

1. )
That is normal. When you tighten the nut, your are pulling the axle all the way to the hub. If it doesnt want to seat easily, clean your splines with a small wire brush to get the rust off of them, and grease them well.
Those are the correct axles, and yes, all you need to do is remove the dust covers, and they will fit perfect.
3.)
If you have an aftermarket header, there is a chance it won't fit. The easy thing to do would be to install the crossmember after you install the exhaust.
4.)
I've never heard of a stock d series linkage working for a B series tranny. I'm sure you have to cut and weld, though with how cheap the linkages can be found, I would go with a custom one to make sure your shifter is at the correct angle.
Overall, this is a very easy swap to do, and was the first Honda swap I did with some friends. It only took us about 2 days with a ton of problems that could have been eliminated had we known what we were doing 100%.
