Tires........
About a week ago I noticed a small bunp coming out the the tires side. What does this mean? Too much air? I let some air out... like 5 psi out. Then I checked it today and it was gone. Anyone know what happened? Is my alignment off? I got new rims and tires about a month ago but they didnt do an alignment. I hope you all can help me out cuz I dont want my $950 Rims to get screwed.
Weak spot in the side wall of the tire. I've heard of people running with tires in the same condition for a few years without any problems. I'd be scared as hell to do, but I pound on my car... Call up the place you got the tires from and see if they'll exchange one for you.
Did you hit a pothole or large bump in the road? I've had two tires that I had to replace because of a "bump" on the sidewall created by potholes.
that happened to my mom in her coupe before. its from hitting a pot hole and a belt inside the tire breaking. you should really have it fixed.

Had that happen to one of mine. The sidewall was weakened by an impact of some sort... most likely a pothole. If they're replacements (not the original ones from the factory/dealer) and they're a good brand name tire, then you should have a "Road Hazard" warranty on your tires. That warranty will cover damage like that, though you will pay a little depending on your tire wear. I had that happen to my Michelin Pilot XGT H4s and all I paid was $20 for wear.

Do you have a photo of the lump? I can better tell what is going on with a look.
It could be as serious as a separation to a little as overlapped belt seams. Either way you could still get new tires out of it, if you have a road hazard warrenty.

It really depends....I've seen it go many ways.
The maufactuer clears it up (rarely)
The store you bought them at clears it up
or You clear it up by buying a new tire.
I can't really give you a good guess.

Its all good SLPR you gave me great information anyway, so I thank you for that. Other than that, I think I'll get it fixed for $30.00. If anyone got any other suggestions then post away!!
