I am thinking about buying a used HKS Hi-power for 250$ but there is a dent on the exhasut and i was wondering would this effect the performance of the exhaust..

exhausts dont give out much hp anyway. so i wouldnt think that it could affect the performance. if it did 1-2hp max. kinda rear lip is that? and yes it will burn. you could get extended exhaust hangers if u want but itd look dumb imho.

 

option imports says the HKS gave a 5-6 hp gain and with light mods 7-8. but i got my lip painted to look like a diffuser! some ppl say its stupied and some ppl love it. i think it look great!

I hear every1 loves ther Hi-power's beside the face it burns your lip..and on one of the recents posts somebody said " once you start to heavily mod your car the HKS becomes restrictive "

 

I had an HKS hi-power and I sold it for $100 lol and also it wont burn your lip or do any dmg to it, also the sound is great!

 

wtf are you talking about? it will burn your lip, you can make a heatshield of some sort, get extended hangers, or just deal with the burning by using rubbing compound often

 

i figured it would burn your lip becasue it happens to alot ppl..some ppl say it actually melts there bumper too!

 

the dent looks fine, not a HUGE difference
250 sounds like a fair price
but yeah, i would get extentions for the hanger since you have such a nice rear bumper

but for the 05-06 exhaust, its probably about where your talking about
its kinda dark but the lip looks like a mugen for the 05-06s (which also fits the 02-04s obviously)

o so its the mugen rear lip didnt see it cuz the shadow of the car blocked the mesh or suppose to be mesh part.

 

It'll probably burn your lip. No that little dent won't restrict horsepower, but that bottleneck in the HKS will.

 

haha yup and that's why it becomes restrictive when you get into heavy modding

 

yeh i was also thinking about the buddy club pro spec or does any1 have a exhasut they are really happy with?!?

what lip is that ... it doesnt look like a stock lip for the 02-04 model ...

 

i doubt u will have a problem, but if you wanted you could just buy it brand new for 200$ more

It's the regular A-Spec rear lip. He just painted the middle black.

I like it, looks clean.

 

If you feel like it restricts, you can always have a local exhaust shop cut that piece off and weld in a new one.

 

so is it even worth it to get the hks or should i go with like buddy club or sumthin?

 

i feel its alrite to get it ...

 

hks hipower will burn your bumper because it's on an angle and the tip is right under the bumper lip. i had a friend weld onto the fram, a new hanger mount. now the tip is dead center in the cutout and no burning happening here.
