Default 160 miles on a full tank, stock b16!!!????

well this is the shittiest gas mileage EVER. i drove 50 moels to cleveland from akron, and im down to 2/3 a tank. i smell gas only when my window is open, and my exhaust is spitting like crazy, also, the fuel return lines where it goes outside from the cabin, along with the fitting is screws into and the line directly to the tank are rusted, but i dont see any drips or moisture at all. should i just replace all the fuel return lines?

any check engine lights??? how did you wire up the 2nd o2 sensor? how was the gas milage before the swap? either you have a gas leak or the ecu is pouring WAY too much fuel in.

not throwing any CEl's. second o2 is wired correctly. i just posted some pics of the return lines, i think those are the culprit.

and what causes exhaust spitting? too much fuel?

Explain the exhaust "spitting" as you say....what exactly do you mean?

^ Seconded. Exhaust spitting could be a number of things (most commonly condensation in the exhaust system). If you're spitting flames then perhaps you're running a bit too rich with a dead catalytic converter lol.

If by spitting you mean backfire then yes you are running rich. Easiest way to see this is while driving get up to about 5,000 RPM and let off the gas completely. Most likely spitting is just condensation in the exhaust. Also check your cat, and did you change your head gasket recently? Condensation could come in through their if not properly sealed.

its just condensation, doesnt backfire, but it gurgles when downshifting. so i dont know why im getting such bad mileage, but i do smell gas, i just catn unless im driving with my windows open.
