Secondary O2 sensor question
I have an OBD-1 B16 in my 96 coupe. I'm replacing my cat with a high-flow one. I was wondering if I need the sensor out of my cat to put into the high flow one? I thought OBD-1 motors only had a primary o2 sensor, not a secondary. Is this correct? Do I need that secondary o2 sensor in the cat? It looks like someone tack-welded the s.o.b. into the stock cat, and probably isn't coming out anytime soon. Thanks in advance.
Just make sure to tape off the plug and stick it in the body of the car, I chose to let it dangle, and 5 months later I had CEL's for the O2, VSS, ELD, ECT and the ALT/SP SENSOR fuse blown when the key was turned, and the alternator would not charge the battery, all because of one shorted wire...
