Default VTEC kickin in better with P13 or P28?

Just thought I would ask this question. My p28 is crome tuned so power band is more smooth but damn I remember the days of the good old JDM Spoon P13 and I remember Vtec kickin in hard!

I'll throw up a dyno sheet below...but there is a dip before or at Vtec we couldn't shake it...I think it has to do how I have my secondaries hooked to vtec... p28 crome tuned...

IMO That's the chip giving you the feeling that vtec is kickin in harder. But... on a car tuned almost perfect you shouldn't feel and barley notice it on the dyno graph in most cases.

x2. it's not a turbo, it's vtec; the point of it is to seamlessly give you optimum power on the low end and smoothly transition to optimum power on the top end, considering the displacement limitations. a dip is a parts mismatch or tuning issue, ideally, there should be no dip-

JDM GSR-

built NA y8

vtec is at 4300-4400 on the GSR (skunk single plane intake mani too!)

vtec is 5700 or so on the sohc

see how there are no dips? Evans tuned on both

You can have a smooth transition with turbo as well
