Default Transmission case leak

I swapped a jdm b18c1 into my ls a couple of months ago. Everything runs good, but I found a small leak from the tranny (S80 w/ LSD). It appears to be leaking from where the two halves of the case meet (between the arrows in the pictures). I thought it might be coming from above, maybe from where the axle connects, but nothing above seems to be greasy. Might even be leaking at the back of the bolt holes.
I cleaned that part of the case and used some gasket maker to try to seal it, but it still leaks.
Should I try something else like epoxy or would the best thing to do be to remove the tranny and disassemble it to seal it.

I probably should have taken the pictures before I cleaned it.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I actually have some jb weld lying around (was going to use it for something else). If I use it, will I be able to disassembly the transmission in the future if I ever needed to?

Also, check to see if their is oil above the area with the arrows you pointed out because the axle seal can cause to leak.

better off placing in silicon instead on the thread bolts, this might seal up any leaks from the trans...

Do u think it would be ok if I drained the mtx fluid and then removed those bolts one at a time to coat the bolt holes w/ silicone or some kind of gasket maker? Would that screw up the torque holding the case together and make the leak worse?
I'm going to check it again tomorrow to try to pinpoint the leak. It's kind of hard, because I don't know if the oil is just dripping to the lowest point or if that's where it's coming out of.
Last time I checked, the leak doesn't seem to be from the axle seal.

Replace the oil drain bolt crush washer.

Put the car up, clean it, let the car sit over night on jack stands, and then check it in the morning.

Don't put Hondabond on the bolt and thread them in. It's not going to help and you may strip the threads.

I'm 90% positive it's not the leaking from the drain bolt or the fill bolt, but I'll definitely check again and change those washers once I get the replacements.

If the trans case halves are leaking then you need to pull the trans, separate the halves, and reseal it.
