Story is in a nut shell possible hydro-lock. Motor is toast pieces of it on the road and oil all under her car on the exhaust which caught fire. Once the dealership gets it torn down ima get pictures of the block cause im almost positive theres a big hole.

There wasnt anyone to help her at the moment. Her car was in a totally different place than her stock parts. The situation wouldnt allow us enough time to do that.

Yes, and warranty won't cover hydrolock. It will go through insurance. Even if the intake was stock it wouldn't be covered.

meh, thats not entirely true...im a mechanic at honda and we have DEFINITELY warrantied hydrolocked motors. if the milage is low enough, we'll warranty anything...tho some dealers are more apt to do it than others...
good luck with it anyways, ive already replaced 2 motors in those Si's, they're not ******* cheap...

You guys are a lot nicer than VW. I am a service writer at VW and no hydrolock goes warranty. I think 13 hydrolocked cars came through this year after the monsoon rains.
