Default type r ef

i just bought a b18c5 bottom end for my 89 civic dx hatch. it was boared to 2.0 so i'm expecting a monster with my light chassis. i know some of the parts i need for my car like the tranny and whatnot but the problem is i dont know what parts need to be b-series and which have to be for my b18c5 block. i cant wait for this to all come together. im pretty excited. this is my first swap and i just want to know what i need for this swap. like every possible thing

You will need a B-series mount kit, shift linkage, 90-93 or 94-00 axles (depending on which half-shaft you use), some sort of ecu or engine management system, and you will definitely need a factory service manual. A lot of the parts you will need depends on what your plans are for the motor. Will you be turbocharging or will you stay n/a? What is your budget for your car? Will the car be a daily driver or a track car? Both?

The first step you should make is to do your homework, research and learn. Having the knowledge to put together a motor will help you build a strong and reliable engine.
