J&S safegaurd ver 1......is it worth it to get one for a HC NA motor?
I have heard that it is hard to adjust the sensitivity to get it to retard the correct amount. Too much, and it robs you of power and too little and your engine can still go BOOM if there is detonation.
Is it a worth it to get it for my 12.1:1 CR motor? I do not have any audible detonation, but I am concerned that if I ever get a bad tank of gas, an expensive engine rebuild will follow.
Let me know your opinions. Also which version is best, version 1 or 2, for NA?

version 1 would be fine for NA, as for J&S I think it's worth it, I might pick one up one day....it couldn't hurt.
Black R (Ken) and I have been talking about this. We are going to try and run one with a full spec B setup if we can find a cheap v1.

just how bad is a mild ping for the motor

does it just retard the timing if it detects a knock? i read that it can do individual cylinders, is that true, and would it work w/ chipped p28?
