i think hes refering to the resistor mod which makes your intake temp sensor read a constant low temp w/ increased resistence, basically making your car a winter car if it gets cold where you live all year around but burns more gas. it does work but dont pay redicilous prices just looks in your manual for the resistence and by a resistor to the higher resistence without going over and giving you a cel. however it doesnt give you more power just makes it runs again like its winter time all lthe time. i have researched this mod alot.

I'll go a step further and say every chip on ebay that claims to be a "performance" chip is a bunch of bull ****

yah but i would do it to by 99 cent resistors wrap them up in electric tape and some fancy tube or whatever and sell for 20 bucks, not a bad misleading profit

all the resistor style 'perforamnce chips' do is trick your ECU into dumping more fuel into your engine without any change to the amount of air its getting. all that does is make you run rich, which everyone knows wont give you any more power.

yah i agree, but i will say that it did make my car run strong like in cold weather but nothin more then jus that. which makes sense b/c the resistor read a constant cold temp, there was a chart the relativity of resistence to temp on the air intake temp sensor, wish i could find it again.

Look at the price of it. It has to be complete crap . You're better off getting an intake or and exhaust system.

then your going to end up wasting your money

that car is a v6, so its alot harder to get faster, but there are plenty of things you could do, i could spend 800 dollars on that car, and have a custom not hacked to hell turbo setup running smoothly on that car

you can spend 800 and get an intake exhuast and header.

your 800 = 15hp

my 800 = 100 hp

your best bet, is to get a shitty ebay short ram intake

and go to a good local performance exhuast shop, and get a custom catless exhaust all the way from the headers back (yes headers v6 has 2)

or you could get a 100 shot of nitrous and msd ignition for about 5 - 600 bucks.

how much power do you want, a litle? because its either a very little, OR ALOT.

UNICHIP. How can you forget them?

Or you can get Jet to reflash your ECU if you have mods already.
