I hav ea stock 95 sol b16. In the mornings, regardless of temp, after I start the car and drive a short distance the engine won't rev over 3500rpm. It just acts like there's a rev limiter set there. if I am already over 3500, it just acts like it died until I get below 3500 then runs fine. If I am revving up to 3500 it bucks like crazy. after a little while (random amount of time, regardless of engine temp) it will start driving fine. Sometimes the CE light comes on, sometimes it doesn't. ANy ideas. TIA

 

Check the code of the CEL. Sounds like it could be in limp mode, but to me, it sounds like the distributer is bad.

Do normal stuff like replace plugs, wires, filter, dizzy cap and rotor, and fuel filter. If that stuff is all done, then worry. But I still think it's probably your distributer being bad.
