Default Close Encouter W/Theft

After owning my 2nd 01 GSR, 1yr after purchasing it I come to a really close call.
Parked at my home a few nights ago around 11pm. This long type 4dr car pulls right up to my driveway (yes folks I kid you not) with 4 guys in the car, they park smack parallel beside my pride and joy. Oh and did i mention they drove up without no headlights on. Luckily, my poor old grandmother who was still awak at the time was sitting beside the window in her chair watching TV with my mom and she quickly notifies my mother that car approaches the driveway, before anything can be done, my mother beams it to the window and PULLS OPEN the curtains so fast that it may have startled the poor thieves, scaring them silly and just put their car in reverse and got the hell outta there in a mad frantic...
Folks I tell you I do not need this **** from people, I don't wanna live in fear because I own a HIGH THEFT RISK GSR.
Now my question to you all would be "should i sell the car and buy a RSX or something like that"???? were RSX's ever stolen yet can they use those cars or are they too hard to steal because of the redesign and higher technology that Honda used now.???

I really dont know what to do now..my car is basically still stock and I know what it would feel like to have a car stolen from you as it has happened to me on my other 01 GSR last year which i owned for a whole 3 months before it was taken from me..

Well sorry to hear about the recent attempt on your car. Luckily your mom and grandma were awake to scare the thief off.

As for the whole "should I buy a RSX because they have not stolen them yet" thing its entirely up to you. Do you like the Gs-r or the RSX? Regardless of what you get or have thieves are always going to want what they cant get. At the moment the RSX is hard to steal, but give it time and thieves will figure out a way to get thier dirty little hands on them. So weather you get the RSX or keep your Gs-r all I can say is good luck.

Imo I would invest in a good alarm, big dog, bigger gun, and a video camera system for the exterior of your house. At Sam's club (Costco) same damn thing, anyways they have a 4 small camera's and a monitor for like 5oo.oo. I would invest in that as well. Not a bad price to pay for a little bit more security. Plus you get to see who is trying to mess with your car as well. Then you can give the tape to the cops, and if you see them on the street you can beat thier ***'s. Oh and by the way, if you do catch those thieves remember to kick them in the neck for me .
well good luck bro.

Maybe one of those motion detector lights that will light up your driveway when the thieves come back (and they probably will).

There are different kind of thieves. The ones that want to steal your car, dissassemble it and sell the parts will be after your GS-R because Integra's are everywhere. RSX is still new so at least those kind of thieves aren't gonna want your car.

Autolock and paging alarm works well and a fuel cut off switch hidden always works they can get in but cant drive till find it and that takes time witch they dont have.

as stated above, i would invest in a good alarm with a paging system and/or a cut off system...it saved my friends turbo charged SI...the theives got frustrated and only ripped out his guages (turbo timer, boost contoller, etc...)...

Why don't you park in the garage.. that's what I do cause I'm a scared little hoe.. my car is way too precious to leave outside.. (and get an alarm too if you can afford it, it's worth the money)
