95 civic 3door maby axle noise help
i have a noise coming from the left front almost the same sound as a strut mount on a dirt road. but the mounts are good. could it be the cv axle inner joint i dont know. also the left rear sit lower then the rest of the car, the car has never been wrecked and the strut is not busted could just that spring be bad. please help im new to civics i also have an accord
A sagging spring will kill a shock in short order, it will simply apply too much load to it and blow it out.
If your ride height is different from corner to corner, this is a sign that your springs are worn out, and replacements will be needed, or else the above will be the end result.
Check your control arm bushings and make sure they are all still good, and make sure your struts are leak free. If you push down on a corner of the car, the car should sink, rebound, and fall about 1 inch after rebound. If it continues to bounce, shock is blown out.

Thank you for responding quickly. But my problem is a noise that sounds like a strut mount being bad but it doesn't happen when I accelerate or decelerate. At a steady pace is the only time I hear the noise. I have never seen this kind of problem before and I was wondering why would a bad strut sound go away when I accelerate and decelerate? The left rear is the only one that sags down even if I push down on it the rebound is normal. Could it be a bad spring even if this is the case, with a normal rebound? My struts are bad and my cv axle is too. But the noise is my huge concern right now. I just can not contemplate what could make it go away but make it happen when I am at a steady RPM driving. Any and all information that anyone can give is most appreciated! The noise is driving me crazy trying to figure it out!
believe it or not i had that same noise but it was coming from the right rear in my ej6 and as dumb as this may sound it was my exhaust dont ask me why cause i couldnt tell you but i jacked the car up and hit th exhaust with my shoulder and it made the noise. so i just lubed up the rubber hangers and i havent heard the noise since. just my .02 even though this probably isnt the problem ur having.
it's kind hard to help you fix a noise when were not there to hear it and find it.
If it's coming from the left front, perform an inspection of the left front.
check all bushings and check to see if all the bolts are tight. can u duplicate it by trying to bounce the left front, or applying side load? Most likely a loose nut/bolt or worn out bushing.
It also helps if u have a bf prybar to check movement.
like said before, ride hieght is effected by springs
