from 81.5mm going to 82mm???

Default from 81.5mm going to 82mm???

Ive seen people going that direction with almost identical set-up and lose power is this normal or going 82mm instead of 81.5mm usually will make more power on a b18c???

I think bigger is better, that's why people sleeve their blocks and go 84-85mm. But if you go too much on stock sleeves, that's asking for trouble. I think 82 is the max for stock sleeves, some even say 81.5mm is the most you should bore.

Thanks...i have no choice on going 82 cauz ive dropped some valve and blew a piston on my 81.5 built And im not a 2.0liter guy so i wanna keep my b18c block and repair the dammage sleeve!!!

did you crack a sleeve? if not just rebore, i have 82mm itr pistons for sale. Brand new still in box from RS Machines.

The sleeve are not crack but all the pieces of my broken piston and the 4 valves mess up the surface of the sleeve...so my builder said he have to re-sleeve after inspection!!! Thanks for the offer of the pistons...i need 12:5 and up CR for my built!!!

82mm is what im running this year. If something happens then im forced to re-sleeve! You can look at thats a good thing or bad...

im running 82/89 on gsr block.no problem at all.25+ run on dyno&gt;&gt;daily driven.

If you need to sleeve it then swap it with someone that has a std block that wants to sleeve theres.Save the 1k if you don't need the big bore or strength.
