JDM ITR ECUs will only plug into 97-98 ITRs. The 00+ would require an ecu jumper.

zip tie a valid key to the underside of the receiver, your autostart will work fine.

changing ECUs will only change the way the car drives. (different fuel and ignition maping)

also since you have an immob, you must have a 00 or 01, which is OBD2b, all other ITR ECUs are OBD2a, so you'd need a conversion harness for sure.

jdm ecu's are all obd2a

now if your car is obd2a, yes it'll plug right in

if it's obd2b, you'll need a jumper harness

get the ECU for your engine. (you need an OBD2b to OBD2a conversion harness)

here's where you can find which one to get.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2067011

also you will never pass emissions with a JDM ECU.
Did you pass with the JDM engine? (did you add all the extra parts required?)

you will top out at 115mpr also, why not just get a usdm 97-98 itr ecu w/ a jumper harness or even a usdm gsr ecu, sounds like a better idea

Running a GSR ecu on an ITR motor is never a better idea.

Bakaka, Ignition Immobilizers on the ITR are lame. You can disable them without changing the ECU or even removing the ECU. If you really want to have it disabled so your "keyless ignition" will work, hit me up; I can help you out...

But if you're planning on converting to Obd2a I'd suggest you go to Obd1 as it's going to cost just about the same and you're going to gain the ability to TUNE your car with CROME, Neptune, Uberdata, and even Hondata...
