Default 8.5 width on RSX?

Can I run a 18X8.5 wheel on an rsx with a +45 offset. Would I need to get a spacer? And tire rack recommends a 225 tire. Wont that look weird?

thanks

Why do you need 8.5" rims?

8.5" will fit, but you need 40 offset
