Default my build this winter, any advice from other builders is welcome.

ok, so in about a week, i start class at school of automotive machinists. its an engine builder's school, so they have everything in house to do all of the machining. ill be learning bottom end the first year then heads second year. enough about that stuff. i have a 99 SH prelude. i guess the ideal plan in my mind would be to raise compression up to 12:1. lightweight pistons and rods. new bearings. all new seals and gaskets. get rid of the balance shafts, pick up a pulley set, rebalance the whole assembly. maybe a koyo if neccessary but i dont think it will be. Im getting a custom header built right now, itl end with 2.5" all the way, no cats or resonators. im just gonna do the bottom end this year. would this all be too much on a stock head? cams, springs, retainers, full PnP and valve job will be on the way as soon as i can afford all that too. i could prolly do the valve job and PnP when i do the bottom end, cuz its just machining work. what would i need to do in order to run some nitrous, i dont really know enough about that yet? ive heard just file down the piston rings or something so they wont burn...idk. alcohol injection? im just lookin for feedback from those who ACTUALLY BUILD ENGINES. thanks in advance.
