Default Clunking sound, assistance please.

Hey All,
I'm sure it is a normal sound since both mine and my friend's ITR both make this particular sound. Whenever I make right hand turns that happen to cross a small rain gutter, or when I take a speed bump (not too fast mind you) I tend to hear a dull clunk, or thud, that sounds as if it comes from the right rear corner of the R.
It seems to be a bit more pronounced on Marks R, and he has Buddy Club suspension, while mine is stock.
If it is a normal sound, what is it? I have never had a Honda product before so I'm still a little unfamiliar with their little nuances and whatnot. Your answers are appreciated.

By the way, so you don't hate me for being new to this, I did do a search. The problem though is that all I can type for a topic is "noise, clunk, rattle, thud" whatever, since I don't know where the sound originates. Thanks again...

Do you have an aftermarket muffler? I did and used to have that too, Since I put the stock one back on, I haven't heard the sound again.

This might sound stupid but before you investigated deeper into this, do you have something in the trunk that might jump when you hit a bump? is the spare tire cover properly in place? could it be the spare tire tools (located in the spare tire but are not tide down) jumping when you hit a bump? The suspention on the ITR is a little stiffer then normal car and will transmit impact from bumps a lot more.

Muffler piping banging against suspension .

At least I think so. Mine never did it with the stock muffler but since the piping is a little bigger now, and especially since I lowered my car It'll even rattle at slow, flat speeds.

Shouldn't be too hard to fix

I'm still checking it out and I'm trying to male the sound as often as possible so that maybe I'll figure it out.

No spare or jack or anything in trunk. Did it with stock muffler and also now with a Spoon N1. I'm really stumped. It's not obnoxious, but I was just wondering what it was. If I figure this out I'll drop a line.

Thanks for the suggestions so far though...

I've got the exact same sound coming from my right rear. But it does seem to go away with the more weight I carry in the car (ex. passengers). The stiffer the suspension, the worse it gets is what I've observed on other Integras. Don't sweat it.

p.s. Just so you know my setup...very mild...Pro Kit with KONI yellow dampers. Skunk2 rear strut tower bar.
