Install a 2nd resonator
Factory and most aftermarket Catbacks have pre-mufflers, if you will, between the Cat and the actually muffler. Its a large bulging area in the center of the exhaust that helps cut back on high-end raspyness and nloise, leaving you with a lower hum. Installing a second one would make a difference in sound, making it not only seem quieter, but much less raspy as well.

I went the cheap route and got a silencer for my car.

It most definitely cut down on noise, but in the ~3K range it gets that ricey "buzz"...but I'd rather hear the buzz all day long rather than my loud, annoying exhaust (especially since I drive 70mph for 30 minutes going to and from school).

Oh well, Apexi WS2 next summer

do you have a cat? if you dont, consider getting one, just a high flow cat, that will help, then, get a resonator on top of that. problem solved

Go to your muffler shop.

Tell them you want to add a resonator to your exhaust.

Pay them $50-$100.

Leave with a quieter exhaust.

ebay silencers cut it down a little bit but probally not enough. I got one for my boss and it cut it down a little but he still thought it was to loud and I agreed (not that it was too loud but it didnt change much)
