the best tranny, imho, is an s20 out of a ex/si. on the trans above the pass. side axle is a small stamp that says "B000" thats how you can tell if its an ex/si tranny.
as for the LSD, look through the holes where the axles go, and if you dont see a large rod ( about as big around as a dime) then its an LSD.
for a good tranny for cheap stick with the ex/si.
