I have an 88 Civic dx hatch (still with dpfi) that won't start. I haven't tried to start it in months so I bought a new battery for it to start it. It turns over with no problem. When I turn the key I cannot hear the fuel pump prime. I checked all the fuses under the dash, and even replaced the main relay. I pulled the plug on the pump & still no power with the test light. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There's no power to the fuel pump? Could be a main relay. Did you replace with a KNOWN working one, or just bought a used one? Check to see if the relay is good with a voltmeter. You have to check ohms I think, not sure though.

I replaced the main relay with a new main relay (cost me $85.00) Could something have happened with the carsitting for a few months? It would start b4 but now just turns over. Should I check the ground? Maybe trace the wires & see? Is the fuse for the pump under the dash or the engine bay? Thanks.
