1992-1995
CX,DX,LX usally have the same engine (d15b7), VX has a different engine (not sure what one) and the EX/SI have the same (d16z6)
1996-2000
CX,DX,LX usally have the d16y7, HX has the d16y6, and the EX has a d16y8 and the SI has a b16a2
Correct me if im wrong

92-95 civic CX comes with an 8 valve motor. I forget the engine code....but it's not the same as the DX/LX. Besides that, you were right on.
88-91 had a dual point D15B2 on the DX/LX. A D16A6 multi port in the EX/Si.
The CRX HF had a multi point motor that got almost as much gas mileage as it had horsepower. It was like 52mpg and 62hp or something lol.
