it doesnt matter if its on or off... is it like a whiring noise that matches your engine rpm?

Yep that could be it. When i was younger, my moms stereo used to do the same thing in her tacoma. My dad put it in, and to be nice... well, he sucks at installing stereos. Try reving the car in your driveway and see if it still happens.

Its because something along the way isnt grounded. Quickest, easiest fix is to take the ground from the deck and put it to the frame instead of using the ground in the wiring harness. I ground mine to the bolts under the center console (by the shifter).

If it only happens when youre moving, might be your transmission.

Do you have an aftermarket intake? I've noticed a small whistling noise with some if they aren't on 100% straight.

Try revving the engine in neutral to see if it makes the noise.

its probabaly a intake...but also if you have a stereo amp your RCA and power wire are close together you should route it opposite from each other meaning power wire on your driver side and RCA passenger side.

Have you checked if it makes the noise when you rev it at idle?
