you have to take considerations like weather, and the price of crude.

OPEC's been killing my WHP for years.

actually the b16a2 has 160 hp. i'm not sure how the formula works for BHP and WHP, but if i had to guess i would say you're sitting at about 130whp. remember this is my guess.

from what ive seen is most loe about 20-25 off the top, but the only way to find out is a dyno run.

yep, thats pretty true there 20 to 25 is just right. subtract that from the actual umber. i guessing your pushing 130ish to 140whp. i've seen a lot of dyno sheets. not to mention those import tuner dyno sections. my bros 05 civic is rated 160hp but it only does about 143whp i believe. its a k20a3. no that great. but nice car.

1HP = 1BHP

As far as WHP, it is about 15% less difference compared to HP. This is in a front-wheel drive car only. If you are talking an all-wheel drive vehicle, it could be as much as 30% less.

Hope that helped you out.

There is no set number that you subtract from bhp to yield whp.

As some here have stated, on most Honda's there is roughly a 15% drivetrain loss.

One of those compact tuner mags did a dyno pull on one and got 143 WHP on an average of three pulls, i think. Thats more than a Ford Escort ZX2 makes at the crank.

how impressive

id guess somewhere between 135-145whp for a stock b16a2 depending on weather, condition of the motor, what kind of dyno, etc.

got stock gsr eg and got 142 whp so right in the area of 130-145 would be a good guess but you still have to take alot of things in to consideration like do you run a\c, p\s. and yes the majority of it is lost in drivetrain so.

it could be healthy. ive seen stock GSRs range from 140whp-155whp with good compression.

170 - 15% = 140-145whp

His motor is 160 horsepower at the crank,

160 * .15 = 24

160 - 24 = 136

And thats on a healthy motor so depending on miles, and all that other stuff everyone is saying i'd be suprised if your pushing 130

I guess for a stock GSR that's about right, I made 171/129 with just bolt-ons and tune on mine.

When the AC is off a clutch is engaged - so it's not putting a strain on the motor.

When you're not turning the steering wheel, the pump is taking MAYBE 1hp from your motor.

On that note, I'd say 130-145 is about right for a JDM B16A.

I am sure it isnt anything close to a rebuilt or motor with low miles. I have had it for 3 years and ran it a bunch. just kinda waitin for the right moment and funds for a reuild for turbo setup. I still run 9.5 in the 1\8th its not to bad F*!king gt mustang beat me by thousands of a sec. I was pissed but like I said its still stock
