i'm in the process of breaking in my clutch ( oem itr pp and cd, exedy flywheel ), right now i only have 100 miles on it. i was in the carpark the other day, puttering along in first gear when i gave it some gas ( so i could hear my exhaust ), i heard the engine rpm's going up but the car didn't move for a moment, is it normal for a new clutch to slip a bit before it breaks in? i can also hear a sort of whirring sound from the clutch when i'm slipping it a bit when i have to go up an incline
try adjusting the push rod on the clutch pedal. it sounds like it might not be realeasing all the way. it is a common problem when intalling an exedy clutch. i know you put in a stock one, but it might help.
Doesn't seem right. How hard did you get on it? You have material on the clutch disc that beds into the pp and the flywheel. Just like brake pads on rotors. It shouldn't slip enough for you to notice though. Did you tork down the pp bolts correctly?
