Default Help with cam choice

Hi everyone. I'm building an all motor track car and I am having trouble deciding on which cam setup to go with. The goal is 240whp at high elevation which would probably equal to 280 at sea level. The motor consists of:

B20 block stock sleeves
I beam rods, apr rod bots
cp 13:1 cr pistons
kms girdle
ported p72 head
an-r header
performer x manifold
75mm throttle body
going to be tuned on crome pro

I've been through lots of arguments and just want to find out what people have seen from experience to make most peak hp.

So far I'm stuck on Blox HSL and Skunk2 pro 3s. Plz help and thanks in advance.

i agree. for that much power your better off resleaving it, using a larger piston and stroking the motor. ur gonna have to go all out if u wanna see those numbers. i hope u have an extremly good port on the head.

I am NOT a Rocket dealer...
I have compared M25x vs S2S3 (not Pro) and Rocket RULED.

well that's just what I want. I probably won't get more than 220 with it fully built because of the retarded utah elevation

I've been looking into the M25x cams and alse the skunk pro 3s and I only see people using them for a full race car builds only, and making rediculios power with the pro 3s. I am still debating though

koczeka got some M25X from me and made rediculous power with them. Ask him to share his graph and he probably will.

Sure!

Same exact setup (62mm TB!!!) except cams, same day
S2S3 VTEC @6000
M25x VTEC @5800
@6000 the diff is more than 40hp... and look at the FLAT tq with M25x

U are wrong... I only highlihted the 40hp diff at 6000.
S2S3 peak 246hp, 212whp compares to M25x peak 260hp, 225whp.

The M25s are closer to the Toda Spec D. I have a link to an old spec sheet on B series cams.

Im glad you said it - I saw -B20 stock sleeves - 240 - 280 hp and cringed......

Your CR goal is enough to support the s2p3 s , havent heard too many BAD things about S2 cams, but the mere fact that a lot of people do run them, makes me want to look at other options ....but thats just me...

actually I've been doing a lot of research lately (yea I use the search function) and I've changed some things that i'm buying.
Endyn roller wave pistons, 13+:1 cr
Most likely rocket M25E cams
and either hytech or rage big tube header
also found out victor x > performer x

I'm glad I haven't purchased anything yet. Prolly in a month when I set my mind in one direction

If its for a track car and not a drag car, I'd go with M24XX, and Performer X on a 2.0L. Get as much compression as you can from the combustion chamber so you can run a smaller dome.

my bad. Its going to be a drag car. And I'm going for 12s here in utah, which would probably equal to a high 11 at sea level. Anyone have experience with the 13.1-5:1 cr roller wave pistons pistons from Endyn?
